A little more colour has arrived at Papamoa Plaza.

Local artist Jasmine Kroeze has completed artwork across the utility boxes in the centre’s carpark, turning an everyday piece of infrastructure into something worth noticing.

Papamoa Plaza has a new brand identity and Jasmine worked to weave this into the physical art piece, along with inspiration from the wider Bay of Plenty.

Rather than taking a literal approach to the region, she drew on familiar colours, patterns and textures. From striped beach towels and checkered boardshorts to the greens and blues of the surrounding landscape.

The result is a bright and distinctive installation that feels very much at home at Papamoa Plaza.
