Our Directors

Tinline Property directors are drawn from a mix of shareholding interests and relevant business experience to provide comprehensive governance oversight for the Executive team. Their experience and expertise ensures that Tinline grows in performance, stature and significance.

Steve Baigent

TINLINE Chair

Steve is one of the founding directors of Tinline. Starting his career as an architectural designer, Steve quickly moved into property development, establishing a significant nationwide portfolio through the 80's prior to establishing and growing Tinline to the present day. Steve is also as Managing Director of the Cephas group of investments and charitable entities, and a member of the Institute of Directors. Steve commits considerable time and energy to a variety of other charitable endeavours and mentoring young business people.

GREG HAY

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Greg is a Chartered Accountant and Partner of H P Hanna & Co Ltd, an accounting practice in Christchurch with a long history of serving the Canterbury business community. Greg is dedicated to working alongside growing businesses utilising his experience in business development, taxation and financial management. He also serves in the not-for-profit sector providing governance and advice to a number of charities.

PHIL BADGER

NON-EXECUTIVE INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Currently a professional director, chairman and investor, Phil has interests in a range of industries such as construction, wholesale, distribution and horticulture import/export. His passion for business development, combined with extensive senior management experience, allows him to successfully tailor governance, organisational capability and strategic management solutions for company operations. Phil also provides professional support services to Christchurch start-ups as well as financial and management services to already established businesses. 

Tim Williams

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

With a background in music, digital media and commercial photography, Tim brings a new media acumen to the Board. After a period as General Manager for a rapidly growing Australian digital media company, Tim started his own successful photography business in Sydney. Three years ago, Tim relocated to New Zealand as co-founder of the digital start-up company Lumiere which provides cutting-edge digital content solutions to businesses nationwide. Tim is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Patrick shone

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

BCom, Dip Sports Management

Prior to joining the Tinline Board, Patrick was the Commercial Manager of Cephas Property, responsible for property acquisitions, management and leasing along with financial management of the group. Cephas Property, an investment company owned by fellow Tinline Board member Steve Baigent operated in Nelson and Tauranga.  Patrick brings current retail insight to the board as an Owner (alongside his wife Anna) and Director of Finance for a clothing and apparel group operating New Zealand wide which owns brands including Homelee, Thing Thing, The Goodnight Society and Rose Road.
